International Business Advisor - Contract - Surrey - Great Rates!
The International Business Advisor is responsible for providing advice to the business on HR and tax implications of expanding in international markets encompassing corporate tax, personal tax, and indirect tax implications, and considering International Assignment implications (led by the Global Mobility Advisors). The individual in this role works closely with the Global Mobility Advisors and Group Tax team.
Bid Advice:
- Organises bid briefing calls with bid teams and internal advisors (Global Mobility leads and Corporate Tax manager)
- Manages bid calls, capturing high level bid description, collating feedback from advisors
- Summarises high level advice and issues to bid teams within two working days
- For complex projects, coordinates the finalisation of detailed advice and tracks status to ensure timely provision of information to meet the business requirements. Ensures the consolidated advice is workable as an overall solution and obtains the necessary approvals
- Carries out basic research into the implications of overseas activities
- Tracks bid advice and flags potential tax/assignment risks
- Prepares project cost estimates
- Liaises with key stakeholders in the business
- Carries out briefing sessions on the role of Business Advisory to ensure the business understands the importance of liaising with the team prior to committing to overseas activities
Other
- Owns the cost estimating tool, providing guidance to other team members
- Carries out ad'hoc analyses on international activities as and when required
- Acts as the team primary contact point of contact for Teamshare
