Role: Release Manager
Location: Prague, Czech Republic
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 6 months +
Overall Role Purpose
- To implement new services for the customer, according to business requirements, in a controlled manner.
- To maximize the use of available computing and staff resources to minimize implementation timescales and ongoing operational costs.
- Provide technical leadership to technical resources and customers to meet project deadlines and ensure project objective are met.
Specific Role Challenges
- On time delivery of services into Production Services to meet customer timescales and requirements
- Implementation of change requests to production environment, responsibility for quality of documents and minimal adverse effect to business, coordination within Production Services Europe
- Single point of contact for multiple specific projects on behalf of Production Services Operations
- Executing of project management activities such as reporting, consolidation, analysis of reports (Budget, timeframes, project status) for specific projects
- Supporting small projects up to single server with a project budget of a maximum of 1 M Euros
- Acting substitute for Technical Implementation Leaders
- Manage release of standard changes into production
- Cooperate on infrastructure or internal changes with Technical Implementation Leader
Key capabilities
- Project management experience related to implementation activities
- Results oriented and driven by goal achievement with a strong focus on high quality project delivery
- Basic Risk management focus to balance cost, performance and timescales for implementations and capacity trade-off
- Understanding of international standards eg ISO, ITIL etc
- Strong communicator with good negotiation skills
- General overview of IT technologies
