Job Description

This role is intended to provide temporary cover for the LTEWP programme, pending recruitment of a permanent member of staff. As part of the Localising Typhoon EW Programming (LTEWP) project team, support the definition of the EW service for the RSAF Typhoon EW support capability, including definition of industrialisation activities with the in-Kingdom partner company, AEC; delivery mobilisation planning; and support to engineering management and governance.

The LTEWP Industrialisation Engineer will report to the LTEWP Technical Manager, and will provide systems engineering input to RSAF EWOS capability development. The role will involve customer and supplier liaison, and involve working with AEC to determine industrialsation activities and solutions; definition of an integartion approach and plan for the RSAF EWOS capability; support the development of an implementation plan for the LTEWP project delivery programme; provide support to engineering management and planning activities; support the development, integration and implementation of the RSAF EWOS capability.

Description

A new opportunity for a six-month placement has arisen within the Localising Typhoon EW Programming (LTEWP) project team for a capable and enthusiastic systems engineer to support the definition, development and delivery of the RSAF Typhoon EW Operational Support capability. The LTEWP Industrialisation Engineer will report to the LTEWP Technical Manager and will provide systems engineering input to RSAF EWOS capability development.
A key aspect of the role is liaison with export customers and supplier liaison and involve:

* liaison with the KSA-based industrial partner (AEC) to define roles and responsibilities, and establish an industrialised solution delivery plan;
* develop an implementation plan for the RSAF EWOS capability project;
* support engineering life cycle management activities;
* support the development, integration and implementation of the RSAF EWOS capability.

As the LTEWP Industrialisation Engineer your key responsibilities will include:

- Liaison with an KSA-based industrial partner to define solution delivery plans.
- Definition of an integration approach and plan for the RSAF EWOS capability.
- Documentation of the technical solution within the customer facing statement of work.
- Development, integration and implementation of the RSAF EWOS capability.

* Travel to Saudi Arabia would be required.

As the LTEWP Industrialisation Engineer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

- Understanding of systems engineering principles and methods.
- Understanding of the engineering life cycle.
- Understanding of Typhoon EW support toolsets and methods.
- Customer focussed.
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organisation and with the Customer.

What we're looking for in you.

This role requires a self-motivated individual who is able to communicate at all levels. The applicant will ideally be educated to degree level within an engineering subject or with an appropriate engineering background. Experience of the Typhoon programme in a systems engineering role is essential, as is and an understanding of Typhoon Electronic Warfare Support toolsets and methods.

Please note, the successful candidate will be required to gain SC Clearance prior to start.
