Leading Global Solutions provider has a long term contract requirement for a VDI Engineer based in South Dublin.
You will be a senior VMWare/VDI Engineer with experience managing a large scale virtual desktop environment.
Requirements include:
- 3/4 years of support and deployment experience in following;
- Maintaining Virtual Desktop Environments through VMware View & Horizon View
- VMware Infrastructure Servers both Legacy and current
- Pureflex Technology and or x-series Blade Chassis Mgmt
- Virtual and Physical Networking, VLAN Mgmt etc
- Virtual Image management - Pool Recomposition
- DR and HA/DRS
- Storage LUN Mapping & Configuration & Disk I/O monitoring
- SLA Reporting
- Windows XP/7 Image Management and migration
- AV Mgmt in a virtual environment
- ESXi 4+ management
- Vsphere 4+ management
- MS Active Directory experience, strong knowledge, AD/DNS/DHCP/File and Print/Group policy and security.
- Experience in large scale XP and Windows 7 Desktop deployments and build environments
- MS SCCM Experience
- Windows Scripting Experience
- Very strong communication skills, verbally and written.
- Experience working directly with customers
- Experience working in large Matrix organisations
- Flexibility in terms of work location
- Flexibility on working hours due to Project demands.
