Description

The role forms a key part of the firm's funding and capital planning and execution. It requires experience in designing, executing and managing structured finance transactions
Contribution to the elaboration of the secured funding strategy and the annual secured issuance and project plan
Development of ideas and execution strategies for funding, collateral and capital transactions that will be effective in post structural reform environment
Drive forward the development of securitisability of Group assets
Direct oversight and detailed involvement in execution (pricing, structuring, documenting) and management of transactions
Transaction design and revisions, factoring in regulation (eg UK), rating agency and legal considerations
Management of external stakeholders (regulator, investors, central banks, DCM/structuring/syndicate, law firms)
Management of internal stakeholders (regulatory policy, investor, DCM/structuring/syndicate, legal, tax, other treasury functions, finance, operations)
Oversight of the maintenance of existing transactions across their life cycle (including servicing and management of trading books) and the improvement of the operational set up
Representation of the Bank in various industry working groups including providing feedback on draft regulations Specific accountability for:Mortgage backed programmes and transactions in the UK Mortgage backed programmes and transactions in Italy and Portugal Credit card backed programmes globally Bespoke programmes and transactions globally, in particular (but not limited to) backed by Corporate and Investment Bank loans Management of project on an ad hoc basis depending on desk need, for example projects related a potential downgrade
Preparation of board papers and presentations to Treasury Committee
Required:
Understanding of Treasury mission and its multiple client/provider relationships
Strong secured funding and securitisation skills (documentation review, understanding of rating agency methodology and constraints, understanding of regulation, programme management etc)
Strong understanding of debt and capital markets and strong analytical skills (including pricing and relative value)
Risk & Control experience. Externally, from a regulatory and legal risk point of view; Internally, from a policy, books and systems point of view
Strong project management ability in multi-stakeholder situations, including internal, public sector and private market stakeholders
Strong interpersonal abilities; good written and oral communication and presentation skills with good ability to communicate complex issues
Results orientated with a focus on accuracy, high quality standards and timely delivery
Show creative and innovative approach to solving problems
Leadership attributes and planning, prioritisation and team management skills
