Job Description:

The Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) senior analyst is responsible for supporting operational compliance, specifically as it pertains to the CIP cyber and physical security. This position also will be responsible for maintaining the and AIX OS platforms in support of the Energy Management System (EMS). This position reports to the manager of IT compliance.
Primary Duties:
  • Perform Linux and Unix Technical Administration tasks to support the EMS system and Operational compliance. Perform configuration management, Security Controls Testing, password changes. Troubleshooting, change control, disaster recovery, Malware prevention, access control.
  • Drive innovation by Automating manual tasks and optimizing service delivery.
  • Participate in regional entity compliance program spot audits/audits. Perform sufficiency review for evidence of compliance.
  • Write Technical & Reference Materials documenting internal processes.
  • Provide support to Compliance Violation Investigations and the Corrective Action Program.
  • Provide technical support of all IT departments.
  • Assist in the ongoing development and improvement of compliance monitoring and enforcement program policies, procedures, rules.
SKILLS:

Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four year college or university.
  • 15+ years of experience
  • Strong security and Linux experience
  • Linux OS Administration expertise.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence groups inside of and outside of your organization.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience with layer 1- layer 4 networking.
  • Security experience.
  • UNIX.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • An advanced degree and/or studies in information technology, engineering, auditing or risk management.
  • Audit or enforcement experience working in a regulated environment.
  • Proficiency in Reliability Standards.
  • Network Engineering experience demonstrated.
  • Security Event Monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of the bulk power system.
  • Security frame work.
  • Disaster Recovery.
  • NERC.
  • CIP.
