Site Quality EngineerThis role will be working for one of the sub-contractors on site on a new build Energy from Waste (EfW) power plant. You will undertake a range of QA/QC activities and be responsible for full quality compliance for the project. This is an exciting project using new gasification technology and the level of quality control needed is very advanced and to the highest European standard.
Main duties will include:
-ensuring site management communicates and implements the company's quality management systems
-carry out regular 'at the work face' surveillance in order to confirm compliance with quality requirements.
-assist supervision and tradesmen with critical tasks.
-manage the site quality department and employees.
-attending site meetings and producing reports on quality activities
-liaising with the client to integrate the Company's quality management systems with the client's requirements and
-ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2008, PED and current BS EN standards relating to the repair, maintenance and
-new installations of boilers and associated pipework.
-liaising with third party inspection bodies
-working with welding engineers and advising on welding technical requirements
-ensuring all welding non-destructive test (NDT) and related information is available and recorded
-liaising with supervisors and employees on site to ensure compliance with procedures
-carrying out first and second party quality audits
-reviewing contract specifications and communicating quality requirements to site staff and subcontractors
-collating and distributing all quality related documentation received as a result of site activities
-reviewing all contract variations
-completing final quality documentation and handover packages
-carrying out initial, stage and final inspections of customer plant and equipment
-management of the day-to-day on site quality assurance activities
