For our global banking client in Zurich we are looking for a

Graduate IT Support Analyst 2nd Level Support (2685a)

This role is the ideal career starter in an international banking environment for a Uni graduate with strong problem-solving skills and excellent technical understanding. In order to qualifiy for this position, you can have no more than one year work experience since your graduation. You will support and act as the gatekeepers of the Production environment for Trading & Sales applications used globally around the clock by thousands of users ranging from Relationship Managers and Credit Risk Managers to Traders and External Clients.

Primarily, this role will be responsible for providing day-to-day Production Support on a wide variety of incidents and requests to business clients and technical stakeholders. Your solutions will directly benefit the internal users and external clients working on critical Trading & Sales systems.

Job Responsibilities:
Managing communication with internal clients within the Business and other IT teams (e.g. Application Development, Technology Infrastructure Services)
Manage incidents through to resolution including investigating complex problems involving multiple systems and involving other IT teams as required
Provide first and or second level support
Performing out-of-hours work as required within a compensated and pre-allocated shift to provide support for application deployments and support of critical batch jobs / overseas businesses

Job Qualifications:
University degree in Computing, Sciences or Mathematics
No more than 1 year of working experience AFTER Uni degree
Strong problem-solving skills which must be demonstrated through previous education or career experience
Strong team player with a desire to work in a busy team-focused environment
Preferred: Experience with Unix (e.g. handling files, searching logs, checking processes)
Preferred: Experience with SQL querying (Oracle / Microsoft SQL)
Good listening & spoken communication skills in English
Motivation, personality, keenness and good social skills are critical
