Description

The purpose of the Integration Engineer/Manager is to lead multiple technology-driven programs from a CIO integration perspective, ensuring cross-program coordination and alignment for both integration and technical troubleshooting (OSS/BSS/Web). The Integration Engineer/Manager is responsible for ensuring all IT component integration is aligned with business objectives throughout the project life cycle. The Integration Engineer role is typically from a technical background, but able to exercise leadership skills within the program streams. This person will work closely with other Integration Managers to assure IT integration is fully supported throughout the delivery of a program.

The key measure of success in this role will be the reduced time to market, budget adherence and on-time delivery of assigned initiatives and/or programs.

Main Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role, which should include but not be limited to:

    • Lead, directly and through the Project Team, Technical Integration Management within Deployment Group.
    • Support Deployment Team, Test Centre Of Excellence and Program Manager.
    • Serve as technical single point of contact for activities across the assigned programs.
    • Identify program technical dependencies, manage cross-functional teams to drive, track and deliver all necessary IT components, data alignment, and message structure of the components to complete the delivery and testability of the E2E solution.
    • Ensure that JIT (Integration) and UAT (User) Test phases start on schedule and with necessary pre-requisites in place.
    • Support Architecture in the review of design artefacts across multiple program stakeholder silos.
    • Execute within the Change Control process across multiple programs.
    • Ensure production and maintenance of environment Connectivity Matrix, Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) Component Availability, Integration reporting and planning.
    • Challenge the status quo and champion new initiatives; act as a catalyst of change and stimulate others to change to increase operational efficiency.
    • Collaborate with management to ensure that the technical teams consistently follow the documented and agreed IT Deployment processes. Drive and support operational excellence.
    • Facilitate communications across technical delivery teams and component owners (both internal and vendor). Serve as escalation path for teams across the organization for Integration Management issues encountered throughout the SDLC.
    • Build relationships with other corporate teams and country affiliates to strategic business initiatives. Assist in the planning of CIO deliveries to meet value-based strategic objectives of the business.

Job demands:

    • English (mandatory) and Dutch (preferred) language proficiency.
    • Bachelors (Computer Science or MIS) degree, or comparable experience.
    • 3 + years of relevant technical experience (OSS/BSS/Web)
    • Project management certification or demonstrated project management experience
    • Experience managing Matrix organizations delivering IT implementations and involving multiple software application integrators.
    • In-depth understanding of all Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) phases including development methodologies - Waterfall, Agile, Scrum.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with various people and organizations in an effort to develop win/win results.
    • Deep level of proficiency and understanding of information technology and the linkage between business processes, people and systems.
    • Broad technical knowledge of cable and IP network technologies, cable company & telecom operations and IT solutions.
