Description

We are looking for a Network Engineer who will be responsible for providing consultative, proactive and reactive support to our clients customers. This will include remote or on-site infrastructure design, implementation planning, deployment support, software strategy, performance engineering and optimization, knowledge transfer and mentoring, and network auditing/sizing.

Key objectives are:
Assist customer with tools deployment and related network management applications
Provide backup support for other network engineers
Candidates must be a self-motivated individual that is dedicated to exceeding client expectations, be willing to contribute to team efforts, and must possess strong interpersonal and presentation skills. Excellent leadership and customer support skills. Candidate must be capable of working under pressure in complex and politically driven environments. Strives for highest level of customer satisfaction, is a team player, mission oriented, and needs little direction. Strong communications skills are essential.
Required Skills:
Knowledgeable in one or more of: UCS, Virtualisation/VMware, UC (Expertise In Voice Technologies), Nexus, Storage (EMC, Netapp, Hitachi), MDS
Network design skills.
Knowledge of network management, network availability & capacity planning.
Ability to analyse, configure and troubleshoot large Cisco based voice networks
Is a technical expert in more than one area with a wide understanding of networking protocols and concepts
Proven planning, prioritisation and organising skills
Drive for continuous learning, results orientation and teamwork
Ability to drive change through innovation & process improvement
Proven crisis management skills
Proven leadership skills
Provides systems/product training both internally and externally and intellectual property material
Acts as a focal point for large account network problem resolution.
Solid foundation in IP network communications protocols
Experience with NMS tools, testing, automation
Strong English language knowledge and fluency
Significant exposure/familiarity with the following platforms:
Cisco Unified Communications Manager
Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise
Cisco Unity
Cisco Voice Gateways
Cisco IP Phones
Cisco Routers and Switches
Knowledge of/exposure to:
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework, with focus on Incident and Problem Management
Process Improvement identification/execution (eg, optimization, proactive, innovation)
The ability to work well as a team for the ultimate success of our customers.
Must possess solid communication skills:
Build client relations (eg, establish productive and reciprocal relationships with ROS Team, Customers, Partners and other stakeholders)
Professional & concise (written & verbal)
Self-Motivated:
Receives limited supervision
Provides guidance and mentoring to other engineers
Translates worldwide team goals into own work assignments
Determines methods and procedures on new assignments
Education/Certification:
Typically requires BS in a technical field (CS/EE preferred) or equivalent plus 4-6 years related experience
CCIE or CCIE candidate preferred (other relevant and industry respected certifications may be considered in special circumstances).
