SENIOR TRAINER - Cerner PathNet

Hours:
This position will require some delivery of training outside of the "normal" 8am - 5pm hours. As the laboratory is a 24x7 environment, there will be classes on weekends, evenings and overnight
Travel:
During training implementation, travel may be required to one or more training sites in the Mid-Atlantic States (MAS) region.
Position Description:
- This position will support the implementation of Cerner PathNet into the Mid-Atlantic (MAS) region laboratories
- You will be a part of the training team tasked with delivering and facilitating professional level training courses to laboratory staff and management
- This position will also serve as the liaison between the IT training leads in Northern California and the MAS HealthConnect trainers
Top Daily Responsibilities:
- From now until February, the main focus will be getting up to speed quickly on the Cerner PathNet software and training materials. This will include attending train-the-trainer WebEx sessions with the IT training leads in Northern California as well as self-study.
- This position will then conduct train-the-trainer sessions with the MAS HealthConnect trainers. This will require coordinating with individual trainer schedules, scheduling 1:1 sessions if necessary, answering questions, and acting as the local training expert resource.
- This position may also be involved in curriculum editing.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in education (adult learning), instructional design, HR, Organizational Development OR an additional 4 years of related discipline
- Minimum 10 years' experience required
- Experience with Cerner PathNet software
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Laboratory background/experience
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications
- Excellent classroom presentation and facilitation skills
- Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Expertise in the principles of group dynamics, adult learning theory, and training and development techniques, especially technical training
- Project management skills (ability to work with remote team members, juggle varying individual schedules, time management)
