Description
Millennium Affine has been engaged by a Tier 1 London Bank to depoy a Senior Axiom Developer to implement credit and market risk for COREP using Axiom Controller View. There will be a priamry focus upon architecting, designing and implementing a streamlined front-to-back flow of transaction, reference & accounting data, aligning with the bank's application architecture.
Key accountabilities:
Reporting to the Global Development Lead, and collaborating with other members of the Axiom development team to ensure successful delivery of software development iterations from design and specification through development and implementation using Axiom Controller View
Participate in design of strategic regulatory data acquisition processes
Participate in the impact assessment and estimation of functional requirements
Work closely with Business Analysts and team members to produce an appropriate level of technical specification
Provides input to DBA to create and maintain database structures for the database Servers (SQL Server, Sybase etc.)
Coordinate and perform performance tuning to maintain overall application stability
Ability to create and maintain highly effective relationships with both IT and Finance colleagues

Axiom Controller View V9
Axiom Hypercube and XBRL knowledge
Data development on Oracle
Unix/Linux Shell
Background in regulatory reporting
Significant experience with developing data centric applications for financial services organisations
Preferred
At least one dynamic development language: Perl, Python, PHP
C++ or Java or C# or and OOP
Database optimisation
Subversion or similar version control
Continuous integration & deployment
Automated testing (HPQC/TD)
Knowledge of the UK and European regulatory environment particularly COREP/FINREP
Knowledge of market risk related capital calculations
Experience with finance/regulatory reporting vendor software packages
