ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Responsible for contacting customers via telephone to discuss to determine reason(s) for delinquency, and to obtain commitment to pay
Updates customer's account information on a computer system
Negotiate payment and offer suggestions for balance in full/settlement arrangements
Adheres to established guidelines when determining appropriate collection Remedy
Typically works active accounts in an automated dialer mode
Use product knowledge and review multiple systems to quickly analyze account situations.
Meet individual and departmental goals and service level agreements.
Abide by FDCPA, HIPPA, and company regulations. Understand the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA)
Employee must be able to work 2 late nights a week (11:30 am - 8 pm) and 2 Saturdays a month.
Must pass background check.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty accurately.

Exceptional customer service and written and verbal communications skills are required.
Must possess excellent organizational, time management, judgment, and decision-making skills.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, self-motivated, and focused on high quality delivery of work products; willing to accept responsibility and accountability.
ACA certified collectors encouraged to apply; bilingual positions also available and dialer experience a plus.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Experience in collections or customer service required.
Knowledge of FDCPA regulations preferred.
Knowledge of MS Word and Excel preferred.
