Marketing Services Assistant, 21,000 - Dudley - 12 month maternity coverA leading provider of products to the construction industry is currently seeking a Marketing Services Assistant to provide support to the Marketing Services Manager across Group companies on a 12 month maternity cover contract.
The successful candidate will provide support to the Marketing Services Manager and across the department as a whole by coordinating the implementation of marketing services activities. Duties span across administrative, events, artworking, social media and web and will include:
-Gathering quotes for print and promotional give-aways
-Control and distribution of printed material and promotional give-aways including the development of distribution plans
-Day to day requests for photography, reprint and minor literature amends
-Booking print and digital advertising and monitoring artwork deadlines
-Booking exhibitions and events and logistics - coordinate product, literature, giveaways
-Assistance with researching advertising and sponsorship opportunities
-Attending trade events when required
-Generation of basic artwork on occasion as instructed by lead designer
-Assisting with social media roll out plans, monitoring social media activity and creation of content
-Evaluating relevance of new social media
-Assisting with data inputs into websites
Applicants will ideally have a marketing related degree although this is flexible providing you have had experience within a similar role. You will be proficient in the use of an Apple Mac, Office and will at least be familiar with the Adobe suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator).
You will be a self-motivated individual with the initiative to work without instruction. You will also contribute original ideas to the team and be confident in communicating with a variety of differing departments within the business. Organisational skills, resourcefulness and enthusiasm are key in this role.
