Description
Responsibilities:
- Ensure firms records are accurately reflected with terms of corporate actions.
- Agree deadlines with lenders and borrowers to facilitate elections between them.
- Solicit instructions from long books and lenders and pass liability to borrowers, shorts and depot positions.
- Pay and claim proceeds from external counterparts.
- Ensure smooth settlement around deadlines, balancing protections and liabilities on open and failing trades and keeping desks informed of any risks.
- Perform client money segregation in line with firm policy.
- Perform project work as required.
- Assist trading desks with queries.
- Escalate immediately any potential risks or errors that may impact the firm from either a financial, reputational or regulatory standpoint.
- Adhere to internal firm policies, departmental controls and external regulations.
- Ensuring firms books and records are kept up to date on voluntary events.
- Processing incoming and outgoing elections.
- Responding to queries from internal trading desks.
- Mitigating risks concerning corporate actions to the firm.
Ideally need to come from an Investment banking background, with Fixed Income and prime brokerage experience (Desirable)
