Electronic Inertial Module Test Engineer
This role will involve work on the testing of an inertial sensing module. The successful contractor applicant will be part of a development team involved in specifying, designing, testing and qualifying the module. The contractor will be responsible for planning and execution of performance and environmental tests of inertial modules and generation of test reports. The contractor will also be required to update and improve test procedures and analysis methods in Matlab, to maximise test efficiency and throughput.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
- Functional, Environmental and Compliance Testing of Embedded Electronic Products
- Production of test specifications and test plans
- Test planning and management
- Test data analysis using Matlab and Excel
- Production of test & analysis reports in MS Office or similar
- Programming of data analysis scripts in Matlab
Previous Experience:
- Experience testing commercial products.
- Planning & management of testing
- Programming of data analysis tools in Matlab
- Analysis of test data and reporting
- Qualification of products against environmental & performance standards (vibration, EMC, etc).
Previous Experience in any of the following will be an advantage:
- Test management/Test leadership
- Testing of electro-mechanical systems especially gyroscopes/accelerometers
- Project management/project lead experience
