Our client is a growing company based in Canada working with international brands building web and mobile solutions. They serve as a platform for their developers to get consistent, reliable ongoing work and maintain a healthy work-life balance by working remotely.
Looking for a committed fulltime web Developer with strong WordPress and Javascript jQuery experience. This candidate should have experience in designing, and developing web applications not only websites.
You must have strong communication skills (ENGLISH) and have the ability to follow direction as well as enjoy working independently. You must have a very good Internet connection (speed) with the ability speak voice and chat on skype regularly.
Responsibilities
– Communicate on a daily & hourly basis with project leads and stakeholders (New York Time Zone)
– Code websites as per design, wireframe, mockup and PDS directions
– Test and debug issues with responsive and desktop websites
– Fix bugs and problems with websites
– Setup development, staging and production environment and work with server-layer
– Communicate and perform regular demo’s of completed work with clients & other team members
Required skills
– 3+ years of experience of software development experience
– Must have UNIX/Linux experience.
– Expert coder with hands on development experience in PHP5 (Object Oriented Programming)
– Solid experience with custom Javascript and related frameworks (WP & Javascript)
– Experience with Code Repositories (Subversion, Git)
– Experience with various API’s
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related experience would be good but not required.
