System AdministratorSystem Administrator. We are looking for an IT System Administrator for an international bank in Zurich. The primary focus will be the support, maintenance and administration of the Netbackup backup environments and includes support activities on Sympana.
Your tasks:
- Investigating and resolving Backup/ Restore problems and implementing solutions - second level support (SLS) , problem / change management
- Planning, coordinating and managing large-scale backup changes
- Administering backup environments to monitor and manage enterprise data management processes
- Configuring and manage backup infrastructure including tape libraries and disk based backup targets
- Reacting and responding to day to day incidents and changes related to backup administration, including but not limited to disk space, data backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and failed backups
Your experience/skills:
- Solid understanding of offline storage fundamentals, concepts, and components with priority on NetBackup, ACS, Disc and tape libraries and deduplication - Sympana Administration/ Support desirable
- Experience with UNIX (Solaris), Linux and Windows (W2008 R2) is required
- Tactical planning, analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to develop relationships with other teams (application, db, etc.) local as well in other regions (global organization)
- Languages: English fluently, German skills favorable
