Information Security Technical Advisor
One of our market leading clients is urgently looking for a Information Security Technical Advisor.
Required knowledge/Experience:
Essential:
- Good understanding of IT security technology and processes (secure networking, web infrastructure, WinTEL, UNIX, etc.
- Experience within the Banking and Finance Industry
- Experience in working in cross-functional departments and teams.
- Practical exposure to process management.
- Capability to quickly understand end-to-end process flows and control needs.
- Experience in creating memos to the attention of senior management level
- Fluent English & Good Dutch & French!
Preferable:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional CISSP
- Web Application Security Development. (OWASP);
- Knowledge of Information Security (preferably based on ISO standards)
Education: Bachelor/Master or at least 5 years relevant experience
Contract: 6 months + Extension

Job Description:
As a Information Security Technical Advisor you will be responsible for execution improvement programs for outsourced Network Security, monitoring (SIEM) service in order to ensure that it effectively detects information security events, act as technical subject matter expert within L-CSIRT, Qualify alerts/events/vulnerabilities in incidents, provide third line support in (security) incident management, participate in incident post-mortem analysis and be part of 24/7 on-call.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Execute Security Watch which focuses on zero-day vulnerabilities and complex threats that can't be easily detected and/or remediated.
- Organize and coordinate the defense mechanisms (detection, protection and response) across the organization in response to the various types of distributed denial of service attacks (DDoS) that the bank is exposed to.
- Drive Website security enhancement with the main goal 'to have all our clients Websites vulnerability free and stay vulnerability free.
- Participate in 'Security Control Point' Change Validation process.
