Job Description:Test interactive video software applications and equipment functionality on digital and cable products. Testing will include code applications download and start up, User Interface test and verification, video and audio quality testing.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot software, network and RF failures
- Write and update manual test procedures
- Track and execute first level of debug on issues detected, collect diagnostic data for engineering.
- Generate Defect Reports in JIRA defect database, write clear and detailed problem descriptions.
- Configure networks and hardware and troubleshoot network and hardware failures.
- Measure and troubleshoot Ethernet and RF signals with industry standard test equipment and processes.
Skills/Qualifications:
- BA degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, 5+ years experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Ethernet technologies (TCP, UDP, DHCP, SSL, Routers, Firewalls)
- Experience with one or more of the following test tools: Wireshark, MPEG Analyzer, RF Spectrum Analyzer
- Experience in test Scripting and integrating software and hardware is preferred.
- Networking protocol experience [IP routing, IP Multicasting, IPTV, HLS, RTSP, etc.) is preferred.
- Experience with MPEG video encryption is a plus.
- Must work well within a team environment.
- MS Office skills.
- Must be flexible to work 2nd shift if or when needed.
