SCOM specialist PoC Squared Up Storage Servers Databases Agile SPLUNK (Netherlands)
Job Description:
Implement a Proof of Concept (PoC) monitoring environment for SEI HW and Service monitoring, using Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and Squared Up. This PoC will be based upon the existing O&I SCOM environment.
After a successful PoC, implement the permanent monitoring solution.
Hand-over the monitoring solution to the support organization.
Document the solution in a design document.
Experience:
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 2007 and 2012
Demonstrated experience with Squared Up (SCOM Dashboards)
Experience in IT Infrastructure components (storage, Servers, databases, etc)
Familiar with Agile way of working
Experience with Splunk (for metrics) is an advantage
Context:
The SEI department supports the IT infrastructure on which the company develops its software. Basic monitoring of this infrastructure is done by the O&I department, the SEI department wants to further develop on this and be able to monitor on service level.
In a previous project stage, the requirements for the new monitoring solution have been gathered and a first PoC has been build.
This environment now needs to be further developed to meet all stakeholder requirements.
The implementation of the PoC and the permanent solution will be done via an Agile way of working with short development cycles.
