Sourcing Fulfilment Specialist

My Client, A leading Aviation organisation based in Cheltenham is urgently seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist to join their team for a minimum of 6 months with extension. This is full time role working between the hours of 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday- Friday.

The Fulfilment Specialist is responsible for the management of supplier performance to ensure suppliers support the business needs. Part of the Sourcing organisation, the Fulfilment Specialist will work with the commodity and program sourcing teams to ensure robust supply chains are established to support business needs.

Essential responsibilities:

Supplier Management

  • Using established Quality & Delivery metrics conduct regular supplier performance reviews, producing documented action plans to drive performance improvement;
  • Manage complex and strategic supplier relationships.
  • Communicate supplier health to the business and implement improvement programmes to drive schedule adherence, pulling in support from other areas of the business.

Order Book Management

  • Maintain "timely" release of schedule amendments, shipping notices, and other required documents. maintain good Order Book management
  • Manage incoming material to support inventory targets
  • Ensure reject material is returned to suppliers in a timely fashion for rework, replacement or credit using Repair and/or debit Orders process.
  • Effectively use Purchase Queries, Non Conformance, Corrective Actions and Production Permits to maintain material availability.
  • Support Change Note management, modification, and introduction of parts.

Status reporting

  • Ensure supplier delivery commitments are understood and communicated to the business;
  • Where unable to get the required commitment from suppliers, ensure the issues are escalated in a timely manner;
  • Where required, act as Focal for a manufacturing cell and support production meetings to provide status on material supply issues.

Other Duties

  • Track obsolescence and alert the business to any issues in a timely manner to allow Last Time Buy if required.
  • Cross train to provide cover and flexibility for contingency
  • Supports and implements new business initiatives with suppliers

Skills required:

  • Willingness to travel to suppliers up to 20% is required.
  • Knowledge of Aerospace or Aviation industry ( Engineering at least)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • The ability to be personable and approachable
  • Excellent Sourcing and procurement experience is a must
  • Client facing and professional at all times.

This role is looking to pay between £19- £25 per hour Dependent on PAYE/Limited/Umbrella options.
