Description

The Software Developer will be responsible for the end-to-end system integration including lab and deployment purposes. This person will also participate in the requirements development, design and testing of store system applications. This role requires a holistic view of the system from both the customer and technical perspectives to ensure a successful, deployable product. To be effective in this role, you will need to work with customers, developers, support analysts, quality analyst, and management.

Responsibilities:
  • Support a global facing team, acting as a subject matter expert on Point-Of-Sale (POS) providing technical guidance to varying audiences (eg business users, QA, POS vendors, management).
  • Participate as an early adopter in integration, release management and packaging of Global POS products.
  • Provide ongoing development, maintenance, improvements, and localization for the POS including bug fixes and performance enhancements, in support of early adoption efforts.
  • Assist in the localization/integration/deployment with other related Global products.
  • Review/triage defects to confirm that they will result in a core change prior to submitting to RDI Core Development.
  • Provide level-4 production support and training.
  • Collaborate with RDI regarding software features.
  • Identify product process issues and determine efficiencies.
  • Participate in the requirements analysis, design and deployment of architecture changes.
  • Document technical specifications and configuration documentation.
  • Assess effectiveness of the technical solution and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform other duties as required.
SKILLS:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Candidates should be experienced in QSR and POS systems domain throughout application life cycle and deployment.
  • Must have hands-on experience in a POS environment, preferably in an integrator or deployment role.
  • Knowledge of software engineering concepts (requirements management, development methodologies, testing and documentation) and an understanding of how technology applies to business concepts.
  • Familiarity with Object Oriented Analysis and design.
  • Experience of systems that facilitate Problem, Change and Release Management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 and earlier.
  • Experience with tools such as Microsoft Windows Sysinternals.
  • Experience using and developing with XML related technologies (XML, XSL).
  • Web programming (ASP, Perl CGI).
  • Scripting language knowledge (JavaScript, VBScript, etc.).
  • Experience developing with either C#.NET or VB.NET.
  • Experience with SQL and ability to create reports and stored procedures.
  • Basic networking skills.
  • Knowledge of XP and Windows Server.
  • Experience using a source control systems such as Subversion or TFS.
  • Experience using iPhone or Android.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking systems such as TFS or Jira.
  • Openness to learn other products/technologies used to support our Global Restaurants
