The Systems Engineer role is to ensure the stable operation of the production infrastructure systems. This includes maintaining, supporting and optimizing key functional areas, including server and virtual infrastructure.
The Systems Engineer will also schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems according to SLAs and execute projects under the supervision of the central IT department in Manila.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
*Maintain development infrastructure environment and operations:
oMaintain and deploy Physical and Virtual Server Infrastructure.
oDeploy database and development environments from a systems and OS perspective.
oDeploy new software and Back End systems.
*Participate in various infrastructure projects.
oWork within project framework in order to achieve goals.
oReport on activities to the Systems and Project Managers.
*Required Knowledge & Skills; (Minimum of 4 years' experience)
oImplementation of Windows systems based on Windows 2012 and 2012 R2.
oWorking knowledge of HP DL and BL server hardware.
oWorking knowledge of Windows administration and Active Directory.
oFamiliarity with MS Exchange 2010 and other email systems.
oVMware ESXi installation and configuration.
oKnowledge in installation and configuration of Windows clustering technology.
oFamiliarity with backup solutions and strategies including disk and tape based systems.
oFluent in English
*Desirable Knowledge & Skills;
oFamiliarity and experience implementing DR and BCP solutions.
oGood understanding of networking concepts. (VLAN, Firewall, switching, etc )
oFamiliarity with IIS and IIS applications.
oFamiliarity with Linux Infrastructure.
