Description
Currently recruiting for a Global Category Manager within the Pharmaceutical Development department for an 11 months contract based at the Macclesfield site.
Responsibilities will include:
- Procurement, contract negotiation and implementation
- Networking with internal customers and stakeholders to ensure the best business outcome
- Strategic planning
- Strategic relationship management (customer and supplier) - to ensure that Category Strategies are highly aligned to current and future Business need and that the supply base is capable of supporting these strategies
- Oversee implementation of category plan - Ensure that the underpinning process improvement and procurement activities deliver the expected business value in accordance with the strategic plans
The ideal candidate will have:
- Significant global procurement experience (ideally within Pharmaceutical industry)
- Experience of writing and negotiating legal procurement contracts with suppliers
- Supplier Management experience
- Energy and be self motivated
- The ability to leverage a range of influencing techniques
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects/tasks effectively and independently
- Proven ability to manage change
- Strong analytical and financial skills
