Description
We're looking for an experienced front end developer with very strong WordPress and JavaScript / interactive experience to collaborate with us on a client redesign.
The client has provided designs for the project, so this is a code-only gig. The designs are heavily interactive. The final product will be a website for a well-known video effects software company, and although this is simply a company website, the content and architecture are quite complex; this is not a simple brochure site.
We have a backend developer, so we are looking for someone to fill the frontend role. Light PHP will be needed, but does not need to be a primary skill area. Simple WordPress templating skills should be enough - more is welcome, but not needed. A strong understanding of WordPress infrastructure is required.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate needs to the project manager as the designs are finalized
- Configure your development environment
- Take the designs from mockup (currently in AI) to alive using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and some PHP
- Collaborate with the project manager and backend developer on code reviews and quality assurance
- Extensive experience with the folllowing technologies: HTML5, CSS3, LESS/SASS, JavaScript, JQuery, Git, and WordPress
- At least 2 years experience with several of the following: AngularJS, Bootstrap, Foundation, Tower or Terminal, REST APIs, HTML5 video embedding and video interaction APIs
- Proven experience managing time and team communication in a freelance environment
- Ability to work primarily over chat and Google Hangout
