I am seeking 80+ graphic artists to participate in a new, collaborative graphic novel, a science fiction story geared to 7-12 year old kids.It is called "Adora And The Last Fish". See adoraslastfish.tumblr.com/ .
This will be a round-robin collaboration: Each artist will create both the story & the graphics of one panel, in their own style. So right now we don't know how the story will develop.
The first few panels will depict Adora on her 50th birthday, living in a big house in the year 2059, with the Last Fish On Earth. This fish is a large carp who can communicate with humans. Then the story will return to the present, where she is a 5 year old California girl, and describes what happens between now & then.
Raw concepts & source photographs to be used are from The Adora Art Project adoralevin.com/ which already contains 1,000 original artworks of Adora Levin. In order to familiarize yourself with Adora's story, please check out her main blog and the links here howtocontactadora.tumblr.com.
Do not submit complete panels. Send me first a rough draft of your original concept for the next page. I will pick the artists and work with them to develop the story. I estimate that it will take about 12 months to compose the 80+ panels.
I can pay between $15 - $40 per panel (Paypal only). I also plan to publish the book once it is completed. Copyright and future profits from that book will be shared with the participating artists.
