This is a CONTRACT engagement (C2C, W2), The project is scheduled to start April 6, 2015 and run for 6 months. RALEIGH/DURHAM are candidates only, PLEASE.JOB DESCRIPTION: Our client is seeking a Content and Data Management (CDM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) contractor for an approximately 6 month engagement on the Departments Modernization Program, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Center project.
  • The CDM SME will contribute to SOA centric Procedures, Training, and Governance for Operational Build, Deployment, and Release of applications and services.
  • Because content and data management is a horizontal discipline, spanning multiple systems/solutions/programs/projects, the CDM SME will work with stake holders across the organization
  • Activities include supporting the alignment to SOA centric solutions in discovering, validating, documenting and communicating the organizations Content and Data Management Architecture
  • The CDM SME will work closely with Project Team and the IT department to identify and analyze core content and data management strategies
  • The CDM SME will facilitate SOA centric Data and Content workshops with other SMEs
  • The CDM SME will identify issues and risks found in the mapping of content and data management processes and solutions to SOA methodology

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Create, enhance and maintain content and data management solutions through the population and maintenance of a SOA Data Asset Inventory
  • Participate in the SOA Governance process flow analysis and process redesign along with the Business Process Management SME, Business Rules Management SME, Services SME, Solution Architect, Identity and Access Management SME, Customer Relationship Management SME, and Governance SME, with the assistance of the Technical Writer and facilitation of the Project Manager.
  • Identify Data and Content configuration for Tech Writer to do SharePoint configuration and content entry
  • Complete and co/implement data standards, canonical model, and reference data
  • Participate in training design, documentation and delivery efforts in concert with the SOA Project Team
  • Assist in the creation of a training and transition program to transfer SOA centric content and data management improvement knowledge to staff

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

  • Competency in modelling, simulating, analysing and operations of the as-is and to-be scenarios
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience on large and complex projects
  • Proven ability to work as a member of a team
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to extensively analyze business processes and workflows and be able to understand data and content implications
  • High level of competence with MS Office and MS Visio
  • High level communication skills and be able to produce documentation to a high standard
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience in transitioning stove-pipe systems and architecture to SOA centric architecture

PREFERRED:

  • Some software development abilities in such areas as ASP.NET, Java/JSP or similar development environments
  • Strong abilities with MS SQL Server; DQS, MDS, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS; and reporting solutions such as MS-SQL SSRS, BusinessObjects, QlikView, or similar products
  • Familiarity with Universal Data Models
  • Experience with Entity Relationship Modeling, Object Modeling, and XML schemas using NIEM.
