Description
Our client, a leading Investment Management client are looking for a Fund Reporting Developer to sit within their Fund Data Services division. This supports the sales and marketing efforts by producing Factsheets and bespoke reporting solutions for fund ranges.
Fund, Index and Market data are integrated into the databases in a controlled fashion designed to provide guarantees of data quality and investment transparency. Factsheets and bespoke Client Reports are generally generated around a monthly production cycle. Circa 10,000 documents are produced every month on a wide range of products, currencies and languages.
Candidate Requirements
- Write SQL Queries and Stored Procedures against a SQL Server database.
- Develop and maintain reports.
- Perform unit and system testing of SQL and Reports
- Advise and assist on user acceptance and regression testing.
- Maintain and extend the data warehouse to incorporate new data, and respond to new requirements.
- Contribute to analyses and project work with technical input and impact analysis.
- Propose technical solutions
Required Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of some or all of the following reporting tools
- Business Objects XI Deski or Webi
- Actuate Birt
- Vermillion
- MS Reporting Services
- Advanced T-SQL programming (other SQL dialects may be considered.)
- Query performance troubleshooting
- Datamodelling Experience and Expertise
- Scripting/Coding experience (such as JavaScript/VBA)
- Experience B-One (Bi-Sam) or a similar performance tool
Education & Training/Qualifications:
- University Degree or equivalent (preferably in a technical discipline)
- 3 years related work experience
- Fluency in English is required. Another European language would be an asset;
- Knowledge of fund industry and financial instruments.
