Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable duties to include entering vendor invoices, paying vendors and monitoring discount opportunities; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos.
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
  • Maintain accounting records by making copies/filing documents.
  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Assist with month end duties: recurring journal entries, reconcile AP to subledger, headcount report, CIP and spare parts reconciliations.
  • Assist with month end variance analysis and management reporting.
  • Assist with reviewing and consolidating indirect spend.
  • Departmental budgets.
  • Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS:

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of related accounting experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure with high quality and strong responsibility.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • High level of self-motivation, energy and flexibility.
  • Strong accounting, interpersonal, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Great Plains and SAP experience desirable.
  • Accounts Payable experience.
