Description
An Offshore Wind Operator is looking for an experienced QA manager to support and lead quality activities on an Offshore Wind Farm project. This person will be responsible for planning and overseeing all aspects of the project. This position will start ASAP for a 1 or 2 year freelance contract.The project is progressing rapidly engineering work and preparing for construction.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide Quality Management for the offshore windfarm project, advising and interfacing with all of the relevant project members on all aspect of QA as required.
2. Own, development, implement and amend the Quality section of the project manual.
3. Produce the specification for the quality management process for inclusion in the project tender documents.
4. Review/comment and align contractor QA tender submissions with client s requirements.
5. Liaise with Central team to ensure that E.ON standards are incorporated
6. Define project QA inspection requirements and programme into the main project schedule.
7. Provide resource plan for the inspection/testing and witnessing of activities. Recruit and manage the resources as required.
8. Carry out, supervise and manage quality audits/inspections/reports at contractors/manufacturers premises as required to meet the quality requirements of this project.
9. Produce non QA compliance reports and recommendations on a regular basis for submission to senior management.
10. Advise procurement and package managers on non-compliance with Eon specifications.
Requirements:
The consultant should be a Quality Assurance professional with extensive experience of controlling the quality aspects on major capital projects within the power generation. Experience on offshore windfarms and the associated contracts, such as offshore cable supply, offshore substation and associated equipment and wind turbines.
In addition the consultant will be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:
Team management, Auditing, Pre-qualification processes, Tender assessment, conversant with Quality management standards, production of standards and document control.
