Description
Network Support Engineer - CCNP - City of LondonA prestigious name within the world of Financial Markets is looking to hire a Network Support Engineer for their City headquarters. This is a 95% support role which includes hardly any project work.
Main tasks will include:
- Ensure that core network includes appropriate standards, ITIL compliance, resilience, monitoring, DR plans, backup & storage capabilities and operational readiness.
- You will additionally be responsible for ensuring availability of LAN/WAN networks, and providing tier 3 support for WAN and datacentre connectivity.
- Creating Firewall rules, and performing capacity modelling and monitoring.
- VRF, virtual Firewall context
- CCNP qualified
- Expert Cisco Networking with Cisco Routers, Cisco Catalyst Switches and advanced WAN Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
- Nexus 5000 and 7000 series
- Network Security with VPNs, Juniper Firewalls, ACLs, etc
- Good knowledge of Internet security controls such as web filtering and content management
- Good knowledge of remote access policy and solutions controlling employee and 3rd party access to LME production networks
- Strong understanding of network enterprise monitoring solutions and associated operational support processes.
- Good understanding of Juniper Firewalls and Junos would be advantageous.
