Description
IT Solution/Application Architect
- Lead the architecture analysis stage of project initiation and planning to solicit clear architecture requirements
- Provide experience in the selection of suitable technologies and architectures, and assist development teams in the implementation of same
- Ensure that architecture decisions and direction are aligned with overall Client IT strategy and architecture principles (across Application, Infrastructure, Data and Security)
- Work with Project Managers to create estimates and assist developing overall implementation plans
- Assist in creating application architectures and solution designs that include specifications, diagrams, models and presentation material
- Provide advice and insight in areas such as performance and scalability, interoperability, reliability and availability
- Architecture QA role in ensuring that the solution being delivered is in line with the goals of the project throughout the SDLC
- Advise on technological risks of project initiatives that could negatively impact the operations of the IT function
- Assist in analysing existing and future solution volumetrics and ensure that the architecture is fit for purpose
- Other duties as required from time to time
