Our client is a leading Network Services provider, supplying hardware and cabling for IT infrastructure. A Contract need has arisen for a person to produce a Scope of Work document for the install of their hardware.

Job Description:

Infrastructure requirement gathering

Produce power spec document

Identifying the source of power AC/DC & their availability, reachability to the cabinet.

Producing power requirement document/Scope of work to be used by field engineers which includes the power cables, breakers etc.

This needs sound understanding of Power terminations, various type of breakers & the combination of usage, wiring standards/colour coding, back up Battery options etc.

Knowledge on writing a Scope of Work document for installation of power supplies, breakers, terminations, Battery Distribution Fuse Board (BDFB) installations etc.

Producing drawings for power connectivity in & out side of the cabinet including breakers etc.

Producing and procure, spec for Space, Rack that is to be used by colocation providers.

Sound knowledge on type of patch panels, Optical Distribution Frame (ODF) trays, fibre/electrical connectors etc.

For space/location, should have the knowledge to identify the cooling system & the availability, temperature of environment, security etc.

Procure Connectivity delivery and reachability options with party providers/carriers.

Knowledge and experience on physical circuit terminations within the building & identifying connection options to the cabinet if required.

Knowledge of fibre diversity inside & outside of the building

Very good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Visio.
