Description
Objective:Support the Product Development Productivity teams in testing and implementation.
Job Description and Deliverables:
- Work closely with Product Development team to create protocols designed to test Productivity opportunities, as well as scoping of new Productivity ideas.
- Support all steps from ideation through to project implementation, tasks include but are not limited to:
a. Gum/Candy making
b. Product testing
c. Coordinating sensory/consumer testing
d. Coordinating analytical testing (both internal and external)
e. Coordinating and reporting on shelf life studies
f. Specifications input and updates - Develop working knowledge of specification system to enable specifications updates for project implementation.
Skill Set:
- Degree in Food Science or related field preferred (Chemistry, Nutrition, Chem Eng.) with some (1+ years) experience in industry. Lab experience is food is preferred if the degree is not in Food Science/Nutrition.
- Strong computer based skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to learn internal computer systems such as the specifications system.
- Good interpersonal skills and likes working in a team.
- Self- Starter with Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Good problem solving skills
- GMP, GLP, FDA, and OSHA
