Risk Manager - transformation/general insurance/complex transformation environments/BAU/required for our Manchester based client who specialises within Transformation to provide guidance and support to the business transformation programme. The Risk Manager will need to demonstrate identification, design, implementation and embedding of the risk controls and will be directly responsible for ensuring all workstreams within the programme follow a consistent risk approach across all elements of the risk environment. The Risk Manager have control and responsibility over the entire programme team to ensure the business needs are met.

Overview
* Executing the existing risk and control methodologies for use within the Transformation project environment
* Driving the business as usual 1st line risk management of the programme. Including risk identification, measurement, management, monitoring and reporting of risk
* Provision of Training and Guidance for workstream leads and business SMEs in the use of the risk-control methodologies
* Facilitation of workshops to ensure adequate identification, design, embedding and implementation of risk/control requirements into the Transformed environment
* Coverage and support to the business in relation to at least conduct and operational risk
* Promote a risk management culture across all transformation workstreams
* Maintain an view of the status of risk/control embedding across the transformation programme to the appropriate degrees of aggregation
* Ensure interaction and linkage with BAU processes and the Transformation Office
* Ensure all operational risk, governance and control requirements are effectively identified, designed and implemented, and providing advice and guidance as to their interpretation and practical application
* Monitoring, review and analysis of regulatory change and industry developments as they relate to the transformation programme.

Must Have:
* Substantial experience in implementing and embedding risk management approaches in regulated general insurance businesses particularly in relation to Operational and Conduct

* Risk Substantial experience in working at pace in large and complex transformation environments covering end to end business change, at least in relation to IT platforms, business processes, organisational changes, product and distribution strategy changes

* Advanced knowledge and practical experience of risk methodologies, frameworks, policies and standards

* Experience of leading initiatives which have delivered optimal operational risk outcomes

* Highly developed communication skills (verbal, written, presentational) including developing and implementing pan-organisation training interventions

* Proven track record in managing risk and control identification workshops, and challenging the effectiveness, quality and completeness of risk control environments

This is a 6 Month contract paying £550 - £600/day
