DESCRIPTION:

Seeking a strong Business Systems Analyst with business acumen in Insurance to assist project team to align Business expectations to Technical solutions.

The successful candidate will be technically savvy with Mainframe, Middleware, and Open Systems (UNIX, ESB/MQ) concepts, and should be able to quantify both technical and functional impact of affected modifications.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Excellent Communication Skills;

- Mainframe/Middleware developer background [working experience];

- Proven working experience as a Business Analyst;

- Proven working experience as a System Analyst;

- Working experience using Agile methodology;

- Working experience within fast paced environment;

- Ability to work both independently, and within team atmosphere;

- Strong analytical and technical skills;

- Strong project management and organization skills

- Strong Vendor Management skills

- Scheduling (CAD, CA-7 and/or Batch runner) experience

- Mainframe System Automation

- General Mainframe, Windows and UNIX knowledge

- Detail oriented

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Technical System Analysis;

- Fill in Data/Process flow templates;

- Build Data/Process flow diagrams;

- Performing Technical/Functional feasibility studies;

- Communicating with business partners, obtaining their sign-offs;

- Working with developers, schedulers [batch], operational staff, other SMEs;

- Illustrate subject matter expertise in the workload automation space with a complete knowledge of the enterprise scheduler environment.

- Lead and perform enterprise scheduler schedule updates

- Responsible for delivering business automation improvements and maximizing the utilization of Enterprise Scheduling and Mainframe Automation Software.

- Provides expertise to users and leadership on complex batch processes.

- Provide application teams with support on problem determination and resolution of scheduling issues.

- Ability to be a technical interface between engineering and database teams to provide innovative and efficient approach to scheduling complex batch processes.

- Creates reports and presentation materials related to scheduling.

- Documents all aspects of the batch schedule.

- Follow industry trends and software developments to assist in creating a roadmap for the Enterprise Scheduling group.

- Ensure Service Level Agreements are met for applications supported.

- Follow up on production control issues from daily change requests.

- Ensure daily scheduling requests are completed accurately and on time.

- Support Disaster Recovery tests

- Familiarity in managing within a compliance framework.
