Our client a major multinational within the insurance sector has an immediate 6 month contract offering for a Senior Project Manager. The PM. Daily rate €600 p/d.
Working as part of a Global Data Management Program, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for projects delivery to schedule, cost and quality working to the oversight and direction of Program and Decision teams. Projects are typically large and/or complex cross functional change initiatives, involving a number of different organizations and team members.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Defines project scope, deliverables, schedules, budgets and approach with Project sponsors and business partners.
- Manages project delivery scope and budget, works with project sponsors and partners to prepare delivery plans, tracks and reports progress against plan including change management
- Builds, leads and motivates multi disciplinary teams to achieve the core project business objectives
- Effective management of, and communication to, the project stakeholders often at Senior Executive level, is key to enable and facilitate project planning and execution
- Ensure project life cycle, execution and reporting is in compliance with PMO standards.
- Must be flexible to travel within Europe as and when required (limited duration)
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to communicate, influence and engage with Senior Executives from across our business units
- Excellent change project management skills with a well developed understanding of their application from a business context
- Excellent working knowledge of a range of technology project development life cycle(s) across Data Warehouses, Mainframe, Client Server and web based technology
- Extensive understanding of the cost benefit analysis and project accounting methods, and their application in large scale cross functional projects
Essential:
- Minimum of 8 years projects management experience of small, mid and large scale complex IT projects, in cross functional environments
- Change projects management experience in General Insurance or Financial Services essential
- Experience leading and delivering projects working at Senior Executive level in an International environment essential
- Applied knowledge of process and workflow improvement techniques required
