Description
We are looking for an experienced IT Business Implementation Project Manager for our customer, a large international company located in Oslo, Norway.
Main responsibility of IT Business Implementation Project Manager will be to develop a migration strategy for the new IT infrastructure platform of the company.
Ideal candidate must have a system migration and/or implementation project management background with experience in implementing large projects in international companies.
Main task and responsibilities:
- Work closely with the IT Infrastructure provider, as well as with the third parties to develop a strategy of how the migration of the new IT infrastructure platform will be conducted, according to company's requirements
- Ensure a successful business implementation with minimal disruptions of operations within the defined timeframe
- Closely track the readiness of individual company's sites for a migration in terms of technical and application requirements, but also various business needs
- Handle the change management of the migration towards third party vendors and stakeholder management to ensure expectations are managed correctly
- Monitor that required data is being gathered and aggregated from the sites in the early stages of the project and In later stages introducing local resources to the third party vendor on-site technicians, following up a checklist of tasks they are required to do and assist them in issue resolution
- Facilitate communication between various parties and oversee that they share project vital information
- Prepare project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends
- Direct or coordinate activities of project personnel
Skills and requirements:
- University degree, preferably in Computer Science and similar
- 5-10 years of working experience in IT Project Management inside international companies (large roll-out and migration projects)
- Familiarity with PM methodologies
- Good knowledge of PC hardware and server operating systems
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written
- Highly business oriented, well structured, self-driven, and energetic person, with a focus on results
- Strong people skills and experience in working in cross-functional and virtual teams
- Excellent analytical thinking skills and strong attention to detail
