Our client (a large IT system integrator with $7 billion turnover and established branches in 30 countries) are in need of Solvency II Senior Reporting Analyst for their customer in Netherlands (Den Haag). Please find the details regarding the role below.

Role: Solvency II Senior Reporting Analyst (Economic framework and Risk focus)

Location: Den Haag

Job Type: Contract

Duration: 3 months

Rates: Market rate/highly competitive

The Operations department of our client, seeks a highly professional and experienced Senior reporting analyst on interim basis for 20 hours a week. The senior reporting analyst will perform review on information received from reporting units and consolidated information, related to data integrity and analysis. The senior reporting analyst is responsible for the end deliverables of the Reporting analysis team (eg board reporting, QRT reporting). The area of focus for this position is on the Solvency II, Economic Framework and Risk quarterly deliverables.

His/her main responsibilities are:

  • Consolidation and reporting of Solvency II, Economic Framework and Risk numbers on a quarterly basis
  • Prepare/discuss instructions for reporting units
  • Ongoing communication with the local reporting contacts in the reporting units to ensure timely alignment and preparation
  • Data integrity check through analytical reviews
  • Review reports before internal and external distribution
  • Translate new requirements into the Global Reporting Data Model and the clustered data objects financial, nonfinancial and reference data objects, Sovlency II, Economic Framework, Risk Reporting and IFRS/Management Reporting by discussing on impact and timelines with data stewards from the reporting units
  • Ensure that the Solvency II, Economic Framework and Risk reporting requirements (based on the existing frameworks) are consistently and accurately applied by reporting units
  • As part of quarterly closing process, participate in calls and address/resolve reporting issues with the reporting units; ensure buy in and understanding in reporting units
  • Perform the activities compliant to internal control framework
  • Ownership of the Solvency II, Economic Framework and Risk reporting deliverables
  • Position in the organization The Senior reporting analyst reports directly to the Manager Reporting Analysis.

Knowledge, experience and skills

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 7-9 years work experience in an international financial environment, preferably several years of experience in the area of Solvency II, Economic Framework and Risk within an insurance company.

Qualifications must also include:

  • University degree in Accounting, Controlling, Business Administration, Economics or Financial Management
  • Big four background is a plus
  • Proficient in English, both in writing and verbally
  • Strong affinity with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with consolidation & reporting is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills, team worker, self-assured, good communication skills
  • Accurate and detail oriented worker
  • Able to work within tight deadlines
