My client is looking for a migration architect to start work ASAP in Rotterdam on a 3 month rolling contract, day rates will be Dependent on experience demonstrated. You must have experience in a Mainframe to Linux Migration.

Job Description:

A project that converts existing (Legacy) software from Mainframe to Linux (RHEL 6) there is a vacancy for an migration integration specialist to design and implement integration between Mainframe and Linux along the phased migration path.

Responsible for integrating and connecting multiple platforms during a phased approach in the migration of Mainframe technology towards Linux.

A subject matter expert that is proficient in integration software and technology. Knows the do's and don'ts, is able to explain relevant choices, knows how to deploy and integrate components in the environment but is also able to analyse those deployed components in case of issues during test and implementation. A true integrator.

The candidate must be able to interpret and analyse the current integration architecture and can design the integration with the new Linux platform in the existing landscape.

You must have hands on experience as well as designer skills.

The specialist has experience with technology and protocols in one or more of the following combinations:

Operating Systems: Mainframe ZOS, Linux, Windows
Database system: SQL Server
Application Services (JBOSS)
Infrastructure: network, storage, server, virtualisation (vmWare),
Security (Active Directory, LDAP, RACF)
System integration (Middleware, TIBCO, queuing, MQ, XCOM)
Mainframe (CICS, IDMS, Cobol, etc.)
Basis High Availability (clustering, etc.)
Basis configuration management (Software Life Cycle Management)
