A leading asset management client of ours is looking for several MS SQL Server database developers to start as soon as possible.

Profile Description

Major Responsibilities:

  • Participate in OLTP designs, development and implementation efforts.
  • Develop and maintain advanced T-SQL code and ETL scripts.
  • Optimize, update, and maintain existing software and reporting layers.
  • Collaborate with software engineers on code reviews, data structures, data access layer and data contracts implementation.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and business owners to test and verify reporting solutions to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Perform programming and systems analysis, as well as quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration, and migration functions.

Qualifications

Requirements: (some or all of these below):

  • 4+ years of database development with a primary focus on MS SQL Server and experience with large database deployments.
  • Excellent understanding of RDBMS theories normalization and set-based computation.
  • Good knowledge of SSIS/SSRS
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate with business users and technology teams to translate complex business requirements into a manageable database schema.
  • Ability to write complex T-SQL code whilst avoiding deadlocks and other performance and consistency issues (including knowledge of ANSI standards 2008 and 2011).
  • Understanding of SQL lock escalation and isolation levels.
  • Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and help the production support team when required.
  • Experience with Performance monitoring and tuning
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Experience in asset management would be an advantage.
