Senior Brand Manager - Global Travel Group - Berkshire - Contract - £190 per day

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the biggest names in global travel, working alongside the Brand Director to lead the new brand direction campaign. The successful candidate will also be responsible for setting yearly objectives and will be the key contact for Pan-European consumer PR strategy.

This will initially be a 2 month contract, but does carry a significant possibility of extension.

Requirements:

  • Strong project management skills with proven experience of delivering against deadlines on specific projects
  • Strong communication skills and a track record of effective relationship building with both internal and external customers
  • Highly capable in developing and implementing successful marketing strategies and plans; International scope or multi-country implementation desirable
  • Proven experience across the marketing mix including advertising, online, sales promotion, direct marketing (agency or client side)
  • Able to lead brand positioning projects, and the implementation of communication plans and marketing campaigns to support the new or redefined positioning
  • Proven experience in managing brand tracking research with agencies and countries
  • Experience in creative and media selection processes
  • Experience in developing and implementing consumer PR plans and activities
  • Appreciation of the needs and challenges of the leisure and travel sector
  • Able to successfully lead, develop and motivate a team
  • Preferably Degree qualified, in a relevant discipline, from a recognised university.

Responsibilities:

  • In working with the Brand Director, refine and deploy the approved brand campaign
  • Drive the development and implementation of marketing communications
  • Refine and roll-out new dual location brand standards to support countries implementing the integration of the two brands at different locations across the globe
  • Provide brand and Marcomms support for the implementation of social media campaigns as well as governance and content guidelines
  • Provide regular updates on brand, product and marketing communication activities to key Corporate Countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK)
  • Manage and develop the brand guidelines, tools and resources
  • Review and approve all brand communication needs for Licensee countries
  • Working with internal communications, continue development of a brand and marketing induction programme for stakeholders and employees, responsible for roll-out of the new brand direction
  • Support all product and service developments for B2B with required communications from strategy to production
  • Monitor and track campaigns (where appropriate) to evaluate performance and drive decisions
  • Drive the development and implementation of a Pan-European consumer PR strategy
  • Responsible for controlling brand campaign budget, including Pan-European media and production budgets, agency costs and associated roll-out fees
  • Manage agency relationships
  • Manage Marketing Executive, including training in brand awareness
  • Undertake regular country visits and develop relationships with key stakeholders
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the brand strategy is understood, properly developed and remains relevant to business needs
  • Ensure all marketing activities that affect other departments are implemented sensitively and with the buy-in of those affected.
