Mechanical Concept Packaging Engineer - 6 Month Rolling Contract - West Midlands - £ Neg
My West Midlands based client urgently requires an experienced Mechanical Concept Packaging Engineer to bring a higher level of skill to the existing design team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global automotive company.
The candidate will be responsible for the under bonnet or under floor rear end package. Ensuring package complies with appropriate guidelines, marketing and legal requirements and that safety critical requirements are integrated into the Front End package to achieve legal NCAP targets. The candidate will be responsible for communicating conflicts between components to vehicle integration team leader and component area representative.
Skills/experience
- Strong mechanical bias
- Packaging experience essential
- Degree educated or equivalent in relevant engineering field
- Knowledge of the various market and legal requirements associated with vehicle design
- Catia V5 experience at OEM level
- Experience with OEM vehicle integration/packaging beneficial
45 hour working week with additional hours available.
