In Service Engineer, High Profile Public Organisation, Sutton Coldfield.
My client is seeking a in service engineer, for a very prominent government organisation in Sutton Coldfield. This is a 5 months contract, sufficient contract length to dedicate yourself to your project, ultimately cultivating your skills. The company is highly established in their field of expertise, with challenging projects to work on, a company which reflects positively on your C.V with future employees.
You will be providing technical support/advice to MOD and DIO client organisations in the safe and efficient use of electrical systems.
You will also assist Senior Authorising Authority (Electrical) by:
developing LV/HAZ policy contained in JSP375 Vol 3 Ch 3;
conducting AE(E) assessments and reviews;
undertaking ad hoc investigations, incl. accident investigation.
The suited candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in low voltage systems provided in buildings (incl. distribution, generation, UPS, and PV systems), and in potentially explosive atmospheres through the system life cycle. You will also be required to demonstrate knowledge of the hazards associated with electricity and the principles of protection of electrical equipment in potentially expolosive atmospheres, and experience in the management of electrical safe systems of work including MOD's safe system of work for electricity (JSP375 Vol 3.);
