Due to significant growth in the area of Fixed Income and FX/Money Markets they require a senior level Application Support Analyst with strong ION Trading experience ie ION Marketview OMS along with base skills across UNIX/Linux and SQL.
Team
The trading systems support team within Fixed Income and Money Markets uses ION Trading's ION Marketview OMS as a market making platform which is based in a predominantly UNIX/Linux environment. They utilize skills across Shell/BASH, SQL Scripting to ensure the smooth integration of new enhancements and the high availability of existing systems responsible for the trading and calculating of Bonds, CDS, CDO and Interest Rate Derivatives etc They are responsible for daily health checks, routine upgrades, 2nd and 3rd level application support and scoping new market initiatives.
Role
The role requires the skills of an intermediate to senior level, technically aligned Application Support Engineer with ION Marketview experience and Fixed Income instruments (Bonds, Interest Rates and Credits) knowledge. You'll be involved in the implementation and configuration of ION Marketview as well as support of this system and Bloomberg TOMS (Trade Order Management Solutions) and as these are based on UNIX/Linux platforms you'll utilize Scripting skills across SQL and Shell/BASH to ensure stability and high availability of a highly complex trading environment which encompasses a mix of in-house and vender based systems.
Requirements of the role:
- 4+ years' experience Front Office Application Support experience (essential).
- Experience with ION Trading's ION Marketview (essential).
- Knowledge of Fixed Income (Bonds, Interest Rates, Credits) Instruments (essential).
- Strong Technical skills across: UNIX/Linux, Shell/BASH, SQL (essential).
- Experience with Bloomberg TOMS and it's connections to the ION OMS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- IT related Degree/Diploma or Industry relevant certifications.
