Description

Introduction

Your ultimate goal is to realize reliability improvements from which customers benefit instantly. This is an ideal opportunity for engineers with a drive for quality and reliability improvements on high tech systems.

Job Mission

You will continuously improve the quality and reliability of complex products. It is your mission to have improvement proposals incorporated in the Development Projects. This means a thorough analysis of failure data, creation of improvement proposals and 'selling' those proposals internally.

Job Description

Job Description & Main Responsibilities

Within our client and her customers, availability of systems at customer sites is a high priority. Within the department of Machine Architecture and Industrialization, you will work within the group called Reliability. In this role, you will focus on reducing the number of times the system goes down. You will accomplish this by analysing failure and/or performance data, define possible solution paths and 'sell' those solutions internally in order to have the solutions implemented in the development programs. You will analyse data of the field (typically during productive time), but also data during system integration.

The main activities are:

  • System reliability:
  • Reliability engineering competence building:

o Improve modelling of field data & reliability growth (like Crow Amsaa modelling)

o Create reliability awareness in the organization

o Detection and first analysis of reliability hits on pilots and field systems: lot abort hits and initialization issues. Work together with Equipment Engineers and Integration Engineers.

o Create improvement proposals (AIR-id/WBS-items) to improve the reliability performance. Work with the Reliability Project Leader to get the issues addressed in the projects.

o Verify proposed or realized solutions (coverage estimation), and trigger the projects Leader in case this is insufficient to reach the system MTBI target in time.

Education

MSc or BSc in a technical field preferably associated with system software.
