My Client who are a leading name in the utilities/energy sector are currently looking for a site manager to join them.

Role:
We design and install large scale district heating networks into city centres and suburban areas to supplying industrial, commercial and residential properties, as well as designing and building district heating solutions for new housing developments.

This is a new and fast growing part of our business, which makes it a fantastic opportunity to take your construction career to the next level. Based on-site, you'll align your project with the highest safety, health, environmental and technical quality standards and ensure that it's on track and on time. It's a role that will involve supporting the Project Delivery Manager with sub-contractors and suppliers, and developing positive relationships with clients and contractors. In terms of your day-to-day responsibilities, you can expect to be involved with all construction activity, pro-actively managing our clients programme, maintaining our own delivery programme, reducing the risk of variations through forward thinking and good risk management, co-ordinating and overseeing system commissioning processes and driving the projects ongoing efficiency and effectiveness. We'll also need you to make sure we always meet our regulatory and legislative responsibilities. At the same time, you'll identify and record problem areas or complaints, making sure these are swiftly resolved and monitoring the progress and performance of our internal and external service providers.

Essential skill requirements
* A relevant engineering qualification and an SSSTS or NEBOSH certificate
* An appropriate CSCS card
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, including the ability to negotiate with others to ensure the most effective delivery of the programme.
* Good stakeholder management and communication skills
* Plenty of enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
