An excellent opportunity has become available with a leading Global Bank who are looking for a Business Information Risk Officer to join their growing team.
The successful candidate will have a strong emphasis on understanding issues globally and liaising with peers on a global scale Most imporant is understanding of subject matter - Information Risk Second - leadership experience and ability to represent Finance globally both day to day interacion and sitting on various forums Third - would like an understanding of finance.
Key skills and responsibilities:
Directing and managing the implementation and integration of the ISR (Information Security and Risk) framework, as well as related policies and programmes, across Global Finance.
* Considering the Information Security risks applicable to Global Finance and ensuring appropriate controls are in place.
. Support compliance with ISR policies and understand key areas of risk acceptance.
. Review and assess key information on ISR risks, controls and incidents
* Continuously and proactively monitor established information security risk controls across Global Finance supporting and directing remedial activities as necessary.
* Provide regular reporting to senior management on the status of Global Finance's information security risks.
. Ensure suitable ownership of internal/external audit and regulatory requirements and oversee remediation plans as necessary.
* Clear articulation of governance and risk management over Finance information security risks.
* Establish and develop a strategy for the co-ordination and implementation of initiatives that result in the sharing of risk best practices globally * Regular review of ISR Operational Incidents
. Ability to initiate and roll out new processes on a global basis
. Ability to oversee, assess, report, and mitigate Global Finance ISR risk matters.
. Navigation/co-ordination skills to ensure all relevant data is received and processed quickly and accurately.
. Working with a "virtual" team distributed globally
* The jobholder will also continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
. This will be achieved by ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring.
. Also by addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department.
Further knowledge and experience:
* Would suit someone who is keen to gain active involvement in setting up a relatively new function and be able to provide active input and ideas of how best to embed an evolving methodology.
. Knowledge of information security trends and best practice (eg GASSP, ISO27001, etc)
. Previous experience in developing and implementing information security strategies and projects
Skills
. Proven project and risk management capabilities with a focus on resolving complex problems
. Effective team and Matrix management skills in multi-cultural environments
. Working knowledge of applicable security/risk concepts and methodologies
. Familiarity with the Information Security sections of the Operations and IT FIMs
. Well organised, autonomous and determined
. Candidate would need excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills and confidence to deal with senior staff to sell the benefits of operational risk and information risk management.
