Description
Our client is a technology solution provider for the banking industry and is looking for a Functional Analyst to define functional requirements related to one of their software products. The Functional Analyst will work at our client for at least 6 months.
The Functional Analyst will:
- Define, analyse and evaluate detailed functional requirements for projects by working in close liaison with customer stakeholders and other departments.
- Propose solutions to business problems in relation to current and future business environments.
- Prepare, write and maintain functional requirement specifications in collaboration with internal stakeholders, ranging from product management to software development, quality assurance,d others.
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple sources of information and master the specification of solutions based on a wide spectrum of technologies, and techniques, such as web services, SOA architectures in agile or waterfall software development environments.
- Prepare and conduct requirement workshops, walkthrough, critical review and presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives.
The Functional Analyst is/has:
- 2 to 5 years experience in similar roles with previous relevant experience in software development, design or architecture of software systems.
- Professional knowledge and experience
- OO analysis, design and modelling (UML), Use Cases.
- Knowledge of various messaging platforms and distributed architectures.
- Knowledge of protocols and technology standards: TCP-based protocols, network technologies, XML, database and security technologies.
- Solid experience of formal structured software engineering methodologies.
- Strong communication skills with excellent English, both written and spoken.
- A University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent. Post-graduate in Marketing/MBA or equivalent is an asset.
